Renactment of Landing at Peleiu

On June 20th and 22nd, 2008, in St.Joseph/Benton Harbor, MI, a re-enactment of the landing at Peleiu Island in the South Pacific will take place. This was one of the bloodiest landings of the Pacific campaign and many Marine lives were lost during this little known battle. One of our Kokomo Detachment members is a veteran of Peleiu (Mr. Kenneth Morehead).
